M/V Skorpios II sails from the Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Montt, a town located 1,000 km south of Santiago, which can be reached by road or air. This 5 day cruise that covers 800 miles, sails every Saturday to return on Thursday between the months of September and May. The cruise covers 800 miles for a magical encounter with the age-old ice formations of the Glaciar San Rafael, sailing through awesome archipelagos, channels and gulfs to tour this incredible territory that includes towns like Castro and the fishing village of Puerto Aguirre, which display the natural wonders of a vigorous landscape and wildlife which is best appreciated at Fiordo Quitralco with its hot springs and excursions to its vast island-peppered sea.

Day 0 - FRIDAY (Optional)
Optional additonal night. (additional cost). Embarkation at 18:00 hrs. Includes cabin service, welcome cocktail, dinner; wines, liquors and buffet breakfast.

Day 1 - SATURDAY
Setting off from Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Montt. Sailing through the Llanquihue archipelago. Sighting of the town of Calbuco, Golfo de Ancud, Archipelago de Chiloé, crossing the Golfo Corcovado at midnight.

Day 2 - SUNDAY
Sailing through Moraleda and Ferronave Channels. Arrival at the fishing village of Puerto Aguirre at 11:00 hrs. The cruise will stop over for one and a half hours here, departing at 12:30 hrs. Sailing through the Ferronave, Pilcomayo, and Costa Channels. Dropping anchor at 21:30 hrs. in Caleta Hualas or Punta Leopardos, 20 miles from the Glaciar San Rafael.

Day 3 - MONDAY
The ship sails along San Rafael bay and the Témpanos Channel 09:00 hrs. It enters the lagoon and drops anchor 2 km from the Glacier. Boat excursion through multi-coloured ice floes, weather permitting. The ship approaches the glacier at 17:00 hrs. Then it sails for Fiordo Quitralco.

Day 4 - TUESDAY
We berth at Quitralco dock. After breakfast, passengers may take thermal hot spring baths at temperatures of 30° and 32°C, in open air or covered pools. Weather permitting, boat rides are organized to the inner part of the fjord. 17:00 hrs. Sailing for Chiloé through Moraleda and Pérez Norte Channels.

Day 5 - WEDNESDAY
Sailing across the Leucayec Channel, partial view of Melinka, in the Chonos archipelago; this island was the hiding place of blood thirsty pirates in the past. Crossing the Golfo de Corcovado. If local conditions permit, we will be able to sight Blue or Alfaguaras whales. We continue to sail along the eastern coast of Chiloé, Canal Yal, Estero de Castro, reaching this beautiful town at 15:00 hrs. We go ashore and visit the area. 22:00 hrs. Departure from Castro to Puerto Montt through the Lemuy, Dalcahue, Quicaví channels. Farewell party; Captain’s dinner.

Day 6 - THURSDAY
Breakfast while berthed at the Skorpios Terminal. 09:00 hrs. Debarkation and passenger transfer.
