End of The World Train

The so called "End of the World Train" or "Fueguino Southern Railway", attracts not only for its elegance and style but also for its historical context related to the former prison of Ushuaia, as this train does the same route prisoners use to do from the beginning to half the XX century, and that is undoubtedly related to the evolution of this interesting and picturesque southern city.

The narrow trail railway, is driven by steam engines; and has elegantly decorated, air-conditioned cars, with large windows to appreciate the imposing landscape and to enjoy the natural beauties of Tierra Del Fuego National Park completely. The Railway Station is on the bank of Pipo River valley, after a short visit to its facilities we will get on the convoy that will lead us to part of the old route the train of the prison used to cover. We will stop at the station "Cascada de la Macarena", where the visitor will be able to get information referred to the way of living of the Yamanas aborigines.

After the whistle of the guards who will call so that tourists slowly return to the train, we soon continue travel and enter the area of the Sub-Antarctic forest, one of the few existing in the world. After bordering the peat, characteristic soil of Tierra del Fuego, the train arrives at " Estacion del Parque", where we will be able to enjoy car bar and make use of toilets on those cars indicated and destined to such purpose only on certain days during peak season. You can opt either to go back to the End of the World Station or continue a visit to the National Park on other means of transport.
