During this tour it is possible to catch sight of huge Potrerillos dam. 100 km forward there is Uspallata scenario of the indigenous occupation in prehispanic times.
Travel continues with the visit of the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas and Punta de Vacas, the latter being point of access to the famous village of Los Penitentes. Further on, there stands Puente del Inca 2.720 metres above sea level. The river Las Cuevas has eroded the mountain forming a natural bridge, thermal waters come out to the surface by its bank. In the proximity we find the Cementerio de los Andinistas. And very close to the frontier, a magnificent natural viewpoint offers the possibility to appreciate the splendour of the Aconcagua. Following the International route, Horcones customs post and a few kilometres onward on the limit with Chile, Las Cuevas constructed following the european style, 3.200 metres above sea level. Return to Mendoza by same road.
