Day 1

  • Transfer in airport / hotel
  • The guide will go to the airport to meet the group to receive them with flowers typical necklace of Rapa Nui.
  • Then they go to chosen hotel for check in.
  • The guide will pick you to go to lunch at a restaurant with typical Rapa Nui food.
  • Half day tour Orongo:
    In the morning we will leave town and visit Ahu Vinapu. In this place we will see a special and perfect wall construction very similar to the Inca walls. There is also one red scoria moai that could represent a woman with two heads.
    Continuing the journey by car we will stop at Rano Kau volcano crater which has the most beautiful views of the island. This is breathtaking and the sea around people will make you feel at the “navel of the world”. For the latest stage in the history of the island before the arrival of Catholic missionaries we will go to “Orongo” Ceremonial village. Here you will know in detail the Bird Man or Tangata Manu Competition that lasted more than 2 centuries and ended in about 1864. This activity consisted of going to small island called Motu Nui in search of Manutara egg to be proclaimed king of the island for one year.
    Duration: 3 hours approx.

Day 2

  • Full Day Tour Anakena:
    Box lunch and National Park Ticket entrance included
    In the morning the local guide will contact you at the hotel to begin the tour. Starting along the south coast of the island the first stop will be in Ahu Akahanga where you can see a platform with 12 moai and a typical unrestored rapanui village with remains of houses, ancient ovens and a small cave. Driving to the east coast we will continue to Ahu Tongariki, one of the most popular and big platforms on the island with 15 restored moais. Following the ride we will stop at Rano Raraku Volcano where in about 1 hour walk you will see more than 400 moai in various stages of carving. Here you will learn the history of carving and moving the statues and also feel the energy that this place still holds. After the walk you can enjoy a delicious lunch at the foot of the volcano and have time to visit the handicraft market.
    To continue the magic of the island we will drive to the northeast side to stop at Ahu Te Pito Kura. This place is known for having the largest moai carved and transported (10 mts. Approx.) and also a perfect stone full of energy that is on the edge of the sea and according to the story would have been brought from Hiva by King Hotu Matu'a.
    To end a busy day we will stop in the idyllic beach called "Anakena" with white sands and turquoise waters. The beach also has the Ahu Ature Huki and Ahu Nau Nau which both were the scene of great discoveries. Back to town the people would see beautiful volcanoes and vegetation that are part of the landscape of the island.
    Duration: 7 hours.

Day 3

  • Half day tour Akivi:
    We begin visiting the Ahu Tahai which has 3 platforms restored and the only moai that has eyes made of white coral.
    We will continue the tour with a visit to Ahu Akivi, the only 7 moai facing the sea restored in 1960. We continue to Puna Pau to learn more about "Pukao" or moai topknot. We walk to the top of a small volcano to see a crater with red scoria where the "hats" were carved. Also you will see a beautiful view of the Terevaka Volcano and the village.

  • Typical Dinner + Show in Ra'ai Restaurant. Live and enjoy a nice dance show with "Umu" or typical food rapanui prepared by native people.

Day 4

  • Trekking to Terevaka:
    The day will begin with the hike to the highest point of the island. We will leave the car at the foot of the volcano and in about 1 hour and a half hike up to the top and you will enjoy a unique view of the island and also the curvature of the earth.
    The climb is medium requirement, you should go with suitable clothes and hiking shoes, sunscreen and hat. We provide you walking sticks to make the climb easier. Returning will be more relaxed and you will enjoy a good and
    refreshing snack. Back in town you can walk the streets and visit all craft stores so you can take a souvenir of your visit.
    Duration: 4 hours.

Day 5

  • Transfer out to airport for flight.
