Antarctica & Flight

Code: CRUAT12

Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights

Ushuaia - Antarctica - Punta Arenas

Day 1 - Ushuaia
The trip will begin in Ushuaia, Argentina, embarking in our vessel, the "Gregory Mikheev" and will navigate down the Beagle Channel towards Puerto Williams, the southernmost town in the world, located on Navarino Island. Here, we will have the time to tour around before setting sail toward Cape Horn and the Drake Passage.

Day 2 & Day 3 - Shetland del Sur
Sailing through the Drake Passage en route to Fildes Bay, King George Island (South Shetland Islands). We invite you to relax and enjoy life on board and also to take the time to watch wildlife from the bridge or outside decks as we might spot magnificent birds such as, Black browed and Wandering Albatross, Southern Giant Petrels and Antarctic Terns among others. We may also spot Humpback and Minke whales on their way down to Antarctica.

Day 4 - Disembark in Zodiac boats
Upon reaching King George Island, we will disembark in Zodiac boats, at Fildes Bay. If time and weather conditions allow it, we may have the chance to visit some interesting places around the area. There, you will have the opportunity of visiting the Chilean Base “Presidente Eduardo Frei M.” and the Russian Base “Bellingshausen”, enjoying the Antarctic scenery that the place provides. We will gather at the “Teniente Marsh” aerodrome where we will board the flight that will take us, in a little over three hours, to Punta Arenas, Chile, where our services end.

Notes
Flights schedule and Antarctic itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions. At the end of the program, a free transfer to the city will be available at the airport for all passengers staying overnight.
